Caroline had always been a bit wary of these new trends. Dying hair, getting piercings, tattoos -- she’d always found it peculiar. It wasn't that she'd disown her kid by any means if that was what they chose to do, she just didn't see the point. She thought it was simply some show of rebellion or something.

That is, until she saw how much it meant to her kid. Then, to apologize for an argument, she made a choice.

“I don’t know. Is it too much-?” she hesitated briefly, looking in the mirror at the green hair she let her kid dye for her. It was definitely... bold. She sort of liked it, though. It reminded her of her tea leaves.
