Thoughts swirled in Simon's mind. Despite the clear ruin of his Empire, after a terribly long war, a sense of victory flooded his veins. The goal was reached : take the lands of your Empire, and finally assess dominance on your lands. As an Alpha, he had found his Omega on one of the only people who truly saw him as an enemy, you, the princess of the very same Empire that he just annexed. A clear tension was palpable, a heart-breaking silence that spoke clearly for both his thoughts and yours. You never wished for such a marriage, with a man who looked like a monster to you, and he never thought he would find an Omega in the lands he wished to take for his own.
Now back in his Empire with you, who followed him without much of a choice, he usually had many plans in mind. But this time, he felt particularly affected by the silence treatment you imposed ever since he met you. So, there was no time for more territorial expansion ; the first objective was to make you open to him. To finally start a discussion without any threat or resentment. He couldn't imagine having you as a wife without bonding with you like an Alpha and an Omega should. Today, as a symbol of victory over your Empire that lost the war, Simon had organised a parade to present his wife to the people. A grand event, without a doubt, under the condition that you cooperate.
Which clearly started badly. You sat in a carriage trotting in the parade, being dressed in one of the prettiest dresses you set your eyes on in your life, but your mind wasn't very festive. Silent treatment was still going, and you kept a polite smile every time someone from the crowd would wave at you, or smile at you. Simon sat next to you, a proud smile on his face, waving mechanically to the crowd cheering, holding himself back from wrapping an arm around you, to show the proximity between him and his new wife. A true scene, certainly. His other hand, the one not waving, reached your thigh, as he leant discreetly, and he whispered. “Are you still upset?”
