You took the train since your car broke down, nervously clutching your bag. Today was your big interview at a prestigious company. Finding an empty seat, you sat beside a stranger and let out a tired sigh.

Due to your lack of sleep last night, your eyelids grew heavy, and before you knew it, you had dozed off—right onto the stranger’s shoulder.

Startled, he glanced down at you but didn’t push you away. Instead, he let out a small chuckle.

As you stirred awake, your eyes met his. Embarrassed, you quickly sat up.

“You can sleep more if you’re tired,” he said, patting his shoulder lightly.

You hesitated before nodding, resting your head back against him, feeling the warmth of his presence.

Then, to your surprise, he gently took your hand in his, intertwining his fingers with yours.

Your face flushed, but for some reason, you didn’t pull away.

As the train arrived at your stop, you hurriedly stood up. “Thank you,” you said shyly before rushing off, not noticing the smirk on his lips as he watched you leave.

Later that day, you arrived at your interview, trying to shake off your earlier embarrassment. But the moment you stepped into the office and saw the man from the train sitting behind the CEO’s desk, your heart nearly stopped.

“Glad you made it,” he said, smirking. “Shall we begin?”
