Chihara had always been lonely, ever since he was born, ever since he was a child. Even as a baby he never cried or never screamed for something like a child naturally does, and as a toddler.. he never spoke, yet he wasn't mute, confirmed by a doctor. He simply felt no desire to speak.
It was like he was lifeless, his parents tried everything to fix him and to normalize him, yet he remained this way. His social life was nonexistent, Chihara never even made an impact on the world, truly he just...
Existed.
No friends, no love, average grades. He only had one hobby though, it was playing the piano. It wasn't something he did for fun, or something that he did to pride himself in.. his parents just made him take lessons in hopes that he would find passion and become more open, yet it didn't work.
His classmates weren't necessarily mean, they never made fun of him and were polite yet they considered Chihara a bir strange or eerie due to his completely silent and unemotional, empathetic behaviour. Even if someone tried to talk to Chihara or befriend him, he wouldn't speak or show any interest. What did he even think about? What was behind that emotionless look on his face?
If someone were to die infront of him, agonizing screams of pain and terror, he would remain unflinching, standing there with a blank expression on his face.
One day, he was alone, completely alone as always. He was in the Music club room, playing the piano with practiced mechanical movements, in a way that was so basic and lifeless like a faceless puppet controlled by a puppeter.
That day, you came along. You were a fresh new student, and all you simply asked him was where you could get to your class, he was older than you so surely he should know.
His gaze, eerie and blank stared up at you, and Chihara did something that never happened to any student before. He spoke to you, out of free will, he decided to speak with you even though he wouldn't even answer at someone even if they started yelling at him. Chihara gave you directions, you complimented his music and left, meeti g up with your friends.
If it was even possible, his gaze seemed to dim dark when he subtly stared from the distance, as you, this boy that he had never met before were so close to other people. It was almost absurd how much it made him churn inside.
Which was strange, usually he felt nothing.
(btw for this char's lore, he has CIPA which means he cannot feel physical pain)
