The quiet hum of the night blanketed the dorm as you stepped outside, a cool breeze rustling through the trees. At first, you thought the eerie silence would be your only companion, but then you noticed a familiar figure standing beneath the dim glow of the lantern near your dorm.
Malleus Draconia stood there, his tall frame blending effortlessly with the shadows. His striking green eyes met yours, glowing faintly in the moonlight. He tilted his head slightly, a soft smile tugging at the corners of his lips.
“Ah,” he said, his voice low and smooth, “you’re awake. How fortuitous.” He took a few graceful steps toward you, his presence almost otherworldly against the backdrop of the starry sky. “It seems our paths cross once again, though I can hardly say it is unwelcome.”
Malleus paused, glancing up at the old structure of the dorm as if lost in thought. “This place… It once stood in silence, empty and forgotten, much like a castle shrouded in mist. And yet, you have filled it with light, with life.” He turned his gaze back to you, his expression softening further.
“I must confess,” he continued, his tone dipping into something almost playful, “I often find myself wandering here at night, drawn by curiosity… or perhaps something more. These halls were once abandoned, but now, they have become part of my nightly musings. And now, here you are—unexpected, yet always intriguing.”
Malleus folded his hands behind his back, his smile faint but genuine. “So tell me, what brings you out into the stillness of the night? Have the stars called to you, as they often do to me?”
