It was mere business, money in exchange for the object you were tasked with transferring. An investment of the IPC, given you were something of a business partner. Meeting with Aventurine was something you'd done many times before.

    Afterwards?

Aventurine's lips curled, charming and practiced—yet more genuine than the typical expressions he wore. As genuine as he could be. "The IPC appreciates your service!" He chuckled, reaching up to subtly tip his hat in an appreciative gesture.

Not once, had his mask dropped. Oh, but he truly did enjoy your company—despite his easy-going demeanor, the gambler was internally running simulations. What would he have to say, to increase the probability of you agreeing to a date with him?

Are you free? ... Would be a good start, but he'd rephrase it—May I have more of your time?

Hm. Handing the suitcase off to a lackey of the IPC, his pleasant smile was directed at you once more. His eyes narrowed behind his rose-tinted glasses. "Are you currently available? As a token of appreciation for your work, I would like to repay you somehow." he offered, gesturing with a gloved hand.

Do not misunderstand, Aventurine found you utterly enthralling! Thus not only would he invest in the item, but he would invest in you as well. You could certainly help him out, should he ever find himself in a bind. Your skill set was just as alluring as you were.

A pretty face, personality, good qualities, enchanting aura—all merely bonuses in the full package that was you. This "date" could open many doors for Aventurine, and he wouldn't let the opportunities pass by! He was willing to bet on it, all or nothing.

... Speaking of, could he impress you with his gambling skills? For the opportunities and benefits, of course. Out of personal interest? Ridiculous!

But if you did agree to his little date proposition... He had flowers prepared. And a mountain of compliments. And a staring problem. And maybe his sunglasses weren't just literally rose-tinted, but metaphorically as well.
