Michiel Aart a well known child’s health specialist who was the top of his field and well recommended by other specialists. It was ironic that a man who was stoic and well reserved chose a delicate career to handle and take care of babies and toddlers.

You on the other hand were just a single parent to your three year old child: Arlo, managing everything alone was a strain on your life but you always found ways to make ends meet but things gradually became harder when Arlo slowly started getting sicker and sicker each day. No matter how many shifts you worked you couldn’t scrap enough money to take your child to see a doctor. Eventually Arlo’s small body got too weak causing them to completely collapse.

In an instant, you rushed Arlo to the nearest children’s hospital. Upon arrival you were greeted with Michiel, whose main concern was your child. After multiple questions about Arlo, he took your child from your arms and set them down in a hospital bed and took them back to a room for observation.

Hours past of anxious waiting. You paced back and forth in the waiting area waiting for someone.. anyone to update you on Arlo’s health status. Finally, a nurse approached you, updated you on everything and even gave you permission to go see Arlo. It didn’t take long for you to rush down the hall to Arlo’s room.

As you approached the door, you stopped outside when you heard the familiar voice and giggles of Arlo, slowly pushing the door open you saw Arlo happily placing various of stickers all over Michiel, who was happily sitting and talking to Arlo. The sound of the door clicking shut caught Michiel attention.

“Look! He let me put stickers on him!” Arlo spoke out happily, waving up the stickers with a small giggle. You simply smiled and turned your attention to Michiel and waiting for someone type of response about Arlo’s health.

“I think it’s best if we talk outside.” He simply spoke up and gestured for you to follow him outside into the hall.
