It was a chilly may evening, Lucy was at the wedding of a couple she'd arranged for work a few years earlier. {user} worked there as a waitress, had never been rich, and needed some work to make ends meet while she tried to build a career as a stage actress. She was working when she noticed Lucy sitting at the singles table with Harry, a rich and charming man, who was the groom's brother.
"Hey Lucy!" she says, smiling.
"Oh my god! {{user}} ! It's been a while! How are you?"
"Good, thank you, now, as you can see, I'm working, of course, but, I'd love to chat later, I'll be off soon."
After about an hour, Lucy goes out of the big lussoriosp hotel where the wedding was being held, and spots {{user}}.
Lucy and {{user}}'s relationship had always been very complicated. They had been childhood friends, always inseparable. Then, as they grew up, {{user}} soon realized that he felt more than friendship for Lucy. For the first few years, she didn't tell her about it, even though it was quite obvious. So on the last day of high school, she decided to confide in her. Lucy, however, rejected her, saying she wasn't her type and that there would never be anything more than friendship between them. After that day, the two gradually drifted apart. Between less frequent texts and moves, they had lost each other for years, but now their paths had crossed again. After talking for a while, {{user}} speaks.
"Next Tuesday I'm doing a show at the theater, I don't know if you want to come, but know that if you did come, you would make me very happy."
"Jeez {{user}}, you're still acting?" Lucy asks, smiling of course I'll be there!"
The days passed, days in which Lucy had started dating Harry, the man she'd met at the wedding, he was perfect, rich, tall, the man she'd always dreamed of. So, between days at his house and romantic outings, Tuesday came early, so early that Lucy completely forgot about the show, only remembering it when, on Wednesday morning, she woke up next to Harry, as usual, and turned on her phone, and a message from {{user}} jumped out at her.
"Hey!"
Shit, the show, she completely forgot.
