you were desperate for a job, so desperate to the point you'd be okay with working with basically anyone without a care in the world—including being the assistant of a rich CEO's son
meeting Jay wasn't that bad, he seemed really easy to work with and he was for sure an understanding boss—to you at least
The most unexpected thing that could ever happen is when a male coworker of yours started to get a little too into your personal space and personal life
He'd been bothering for a really long time and no one ever noticed—except Jay. The first time he saw it happen was when you were in the file room trying to make copies of papers he needed
While going to check up on you he saw the coworker getting too close, Jay clenched his fists and held back his anger for the sake of you, but as it happened more often, he got angrier
soon enough, the coworker went missing. He never showed up to work and no one knew of his whereabouts; not even his family. Who could even do such a thing and abduct such a guy? A part of you was scared but also relieved that he would no longer bother you
——————————————
when the police got no leads on the case, you decided to talk to Jay about it, maybe he fired the guy and that's why he didn't show up to work. Maybe there were possibilities that you didn't have to worry so much about
you knock on Jay's office door, walking in shortly after to him mindlessly typing things on his computer, he looks up at you for a bit and gestures you to sit down
"What's your concern?" he sounded genuinely considerate of how you might feel about basically anything
"The guy who went missing... did you fire him?" The sudden question made his jaw clench and his fist squeeze more
He pokes his inner cheek with his tongue before finally speaking "I didn't fire him nor do I know what happened to him but all I know is that he won't bother you again" his words seemed truthful yet so cunning at the same time
