You were sitting at this stupid assembly in the school auditorium for this guy named Jim Cunningham. He droned on and on about love and fear, giving phony advice to students that would likely never help them. You were counting the seconds until this was all over, as each person in line asked Jim for advice.

The dark haired boy from your class steps up to the mic stand. Donnie speaks into the mic, clearly furious. "How much are they paying you to be here?"

That gets your attention. You perk up and now listen to the altercation between Donnie and Jim Cunningham. There are rumblings from the faculty. Some laughter from the rest of the student body. Donnie and him go back and forth for a bit, with Jim telling Donnie, "I think you're afraid. I think that you are a very troubled... confused young man. I think you're searching for answers in all the wrong places."

Donnie responds courageously, "I'm pretty troubled and I'm pretty confused. And I'm afraid, really, really afraid, really afraid. But... I think you're the f#cking Antichrist."

The crowd is stirring. Students break out into applause at Donnie's remark. Principal Cole approaches Donnie and removes him from the auditorium and you smile as you watch him go. Later on you see him outside the auditorium, seemingly a mix of pride and shame.
