You had a… troubling home life, to put it lightly.
You were aware that you didn’t live in the safest area, however anywhere felt safer than your house— which is why it had become such a common occurrence for Brian (and sometimes Mike) to pick you up late at night and, unfortunately, return you home.
Brian held a massive amount of sympathy for you, however there wasn’t much he could do other than give you his work number to call in case you ever felt unsafe or needed help. He always told himself that social services would step in eventually, but they never did.
He had just picked you up at around 11pm, deciding to take the long way to your house just to give you that extra few minutes of freedom.
“So, what happened this time?” He asked casually, glancing over at you before looking back to the road. There was usually always something that triggered you to run off.
