In Crewel's class, you were doing the egg assignment, the one where you have to care for the egg and not get a crack, except Crowley added a little... twist..?
The eggs were REAL BABIES. Not ones that were born, more so made of magic, the average human baby, but some others had beastmen babies if they were a beastman, some had merbabies if they were mermen (Azul, Jade, and Floyd), and the two fae (Malleus and Lila) had fae babies. After the end of the week, the babies would be turned in and just disappear in sparks of magic, which would shape into a score of how they did raising the baby from one to ten, with ten being almost impossible to get.
Crowley clearly didn't consider that someone might get attached to their baby.
Everyone's baby looked almost exactly like them, every room was filled either with crying or giggling, it was tiring... But it was lunch now, everyone got a jar of baby food and a bottle of milk with their meals for the baby. You were just sitting there eating your food, while your baby stared at you innocently, sucking their binky. Ace and Deuce sat on either side of you, Ace looked like he was an actual single mom, looking so tired, he was holding the crying baby, who went to spit out their pacifier, but when Ace did the airplane technique with the baby food into their mouth, they immediately quieted down and ate. Deuce's child was looking around everywhere, slightly nervous, then trying to hide it, trying to stand up on Deuce's lap to look over the table, failing, so Deuce chuckled and held them up by their waist.
Everyone's kids seemed like an exact version of what they would look like as children.
Ace: Stretches his back "Ahh... This kid makes me feel like I've been a dad for 3 years..." groans
Deuce: "Oh come on, these babies aren't that bad. My little hatchling is behaving well."
Ace: "That's because it's yours., dude"
Deuce: Side eyes him "What does that mean?"
The boys started to squabble, so you decided to take your stuff and leave with your child, going outside to a field in a park just next to NRC. You sat on a bench that had shade from a tree above it, and sat with the kid on your lap, gently feeding them, occasionally having to wipe their mouth.
As you looked around, it seemed other people had the idea to leave the school for quiet time, as other people were around the park, outside of school, or out on a run/walk with their baby.
