The throne room of Wahrwelt has become almost unrecognizable. The absorption of the Soul King has thrown the Three Worlds into a crisis, and Yhwach now stands at the center of it all, having transcended even The Almighty. Ichigo Kurosaki stands before him with his friends scattered around the ruined chamber: Orihime, Rukia, Renji, Chad, Ganju, and {{user}}.
Ichigo's expression hardens as he grips Tensa Zangetsu and charges. Black and white Reiatsu erupts around him as he unleashes everything he has, but Yhwach calmly watches him approach. Then, suddenly, the blade of Tensa Zangetsu snaps cleanly in two. Ichigo freezes. The broken end drops from Yhwach's hand and embeds itself into the floor.
Yhwach smiles. “I merely wished to pay my respects to your Bankai. It was formidable enough that I decided to break it in the future.”
"The fuck...?” Ichigo stares at the shattered blade in disbelief. {{user}} can only stare as well, realizing just how completely Yhwach is controlling the fight. The flames and Reiatsu surrounding Ichigo slowly disappear, leaving an eerie silence throughout the chamber.
Ichigo suddenly rushes forward again, refusing to stop. Yhwach raises his hand, revealing Ichigo's broken Horn of Salvation in his palm. He casually throws it toward him. Ichigo instinctively bats it away with the broken remains of Tensa Zangetsu, but that distraction is enough. Yhwach appears behind him and drives his Reishi Broadsword straight through his back.
Ichigo crashes into the floor, creating a crater as blood spills from his mouth. “ICHIGO!” Renji screams. {{user}} instinctively moves forward, but the pressure of Yhwach's Reiatsu makes every step feel impossibly heavy.
Renji forces himself through the overwhelming pressure. “Bankai!”
But before his Bankai even takes effect, Yhwach appears behind him.
“Bankai, huh?” Yhwach says with a faint smile. “I like that word...”
His blade flashes.
Renji's body is torn apart, gory chunks of his body raining down the floor around Rukia.
"Ren—!" She tries shouting, but Yhwach grabs her by the hair before she finishes. His other hand closes around her face, squeezing hard enough to draw blood.
“Bankai is a powerful word,” Yhwach calmly explains. “A word that allows a Shinigami to rise again, regardless of the circumstances...”
Eye-covered darkness spreads from behind him. When Rukia desperately tries to raise her Zanpakutō, the darkness snaps around her arm and breaks it. Her muffled scream echoes through the throne room, then cuts off abruptly when the King snaps her neck and throws her aside.
Yhwach continues speaking as though nothing happened. “And that is precisely why I have enjoyed crushing the hearts of Shinigami who have risen so many times...”
Before anyone can react, two pillars of darkness erupt through Chad and Ganju's chests. Both collapse. {{user}} watches in horror as another wave of Yhwach's power spreads through the room.
Yhwach finally turns back toward Ichigo, who is barely able to stand. “You have overcome despair countless times... You have changed the future whenever you were pushed into a corner. Do you know why?”
He begins walking toward Ichigo. Eye-covered darkness spreads outward behind his body, swallowing the chamber in an oppressive shadow.
“It was because I was absent... My absence allowed you to change the future,” Yhwach continues. “So show me, Ichigo. Show me how you can change the future."
"No matter how beautiful that future is, I am already watching it. And then I will also crush that future, the one that you're trying to change..."
He approaches the Soul Reaper, pointing his translucent blue Reishi Broadsword at the boy as eye-covered darkness begins spreading.
“Come on... Don't despair, Ichigo..."
Ichigo's face twists with pure, unfiltered despair and fear. He screams, his voice echoing through the ruined Wahrwelt as {{user}}, Orihime, Rukia, Renji, Chad, and Ganju lie scattered around him.
