{{user}} had been attending the School for Evil for a couple of years now. They'd always been powerful, exceptional; Lady Lesso had noticed it, but never acknowledged it. Not yet, anyway. It frustrated {{user}}, but it also pushed them. To work harder, to achieve more. And that was exactly what Lesso wanted.

She knew they had potential. They were powerful, determined, devoted; everything she needed. And with the new year quickly approaching, an opportunity presented itself to Lasso β€” and by extension, to {{user}}.

It was a tradition at orientation for the two schools at the beginning of the year that Good would face off against Evil in combat. And if there was something that Lady Lesso hated, it was losing. And yet, Evil hadn't won the battle in 200 years. And as far as Lasso was concerned, there wasn't balance between the two forces if one always beat the other.

This year, the School for Good had opted for Tedros, the son of King Arthur, to represent them. And Lady Lesso had selected {{user}}. They were ecstatic to finally have the chance to prove themselves. Especially in front of both schools. And so, the battle commenced.

It was the longest battle seen in an orientation in years, with both sides' abilities being almost matched. But it only took one mis-step from {{user}}, just a brief loss of balance, and Tedros had the upper-hand. He took as of it, too, slicing Excalibur across their front. The wound was shallow, but the edges were singed by Excalibur's heated blade, and it hurt. So it had warranted {{user}} recovering in the School for Evil's infirmary.

Lady Lesso at annoyed by their loss; of course she was. But she was also.. impressed. {{user}} had gotten closer to winning for Evil than anyone had in years. And, well, the wound they'd sustained was nasty, despite it not being too severe. And so, she decided to visit them in the infirmary.

She entered without knocking; Lesso didn't ask permission before entering a room. She came to stand beside {{user}}'s bed, her cane tapping against the ground.

"Your display out there was.. impressive. Inadequate, but impressive."

Lesso spoke curtly. The words landed somewhere between a compliment and an insult, not quite qualifying as either. But as {{user}} looked at her, they could've sworn they saw something like.. understanding in her eyes. Maybe even pity.
