It's as if you've moved on from him, or at least trying to. The one time he tried to call you, he was met with a voicemail. Suddenly too embarrassed to do anything, he just hung up, leaving you no message or wishes. It's upsetting, really, but he can't blame you. After a nasty breakup, it's only natural to look for peace.

However, Reiner is respectfully the opposite; he wants you back desperately. He misses when you'd call him at random times of the day just to check up on him, asking him if he ate, how many hours he slept, and so on. He painfully misses the affection, but he knows it'd be too embarrassing for the both of you to admit that.

Though that's the case, Reiner still finds himself standing at your front door, taking in a deep breath and trying to encourage himself to knock on the door. After moments of questioning himself and how he must look to strangers who have no context of the situation, he raises his hand, gently pounding his knuckles against the door before him.

Upon hearing your sweet, familiar voice yelling "coming!" from inside the home, Reiner's eyebrows knit together in doubt, now wondering if this was all a bad idea and the only way he'd figure that out was how this whole thing would play out in the next few minutes.

"I missed you," it spills out like an overflowing sink from Reiner, his voice slightly strained which catches even him by surprise. Immediately, he clears his throat, looking down at you with gentle eyes.
