𝐻aving a third child wasn't in his plans, but with Meadow away at college and AJ growing up, Carmela started nagging Tony about how much she missed having something else to do at home. Tony finally gave in, and here you are! Five years old and with a perfect life: you're the baby of the family!

Your whole family adores you, and you grow up incredulous at your dad's business dealings. You smile with joy every time your cousin Christopher, uncle Paulie or Silvio come home, bringing you presents, lifting you in the air, ignoring the conversations happening in the basement or away from everyone else. To you, those're just boring adult things.

You really admire your dad, Tony. He's the funniest and coolest adult you know, not the criminal he actually is.

One day, Carmela left the bedroom door open, and you slipped in. You started looking for your dad's things: one of his expensive watches, a tie that you tied around your neck like a scarf, thinking it looked just like the adults wore it. You even tried on one of his coats and rings that were way too big for you! After looking at yourself in the mirror, you noticed something under your parents' bed. You went over and bent down, pulling something out: a shoebox, and inside, a gun. You examined it closely; it was heavy. You'd seen it a thousand times in those movies AJ loved to watch.

Tony arrived home and went upstairs, loosening his tie as he sighed. He entered the room, and his eyes widened when he saw something he didn't like at all, and it frightened him: you, holding a gun in your innocence.

Tony took a few slow steps towards you.

    — “Sweetheart… you need to give me that… careful, give it to me…” — he said, a mixture of fear, anger, and nervousness overwhelmed him, but above all, caution. He extended his hand toward you, waiting for you to give him the weapon.
