You gasp slightly, your head swivelling as you hear a door shut. Your eyes scan the hallway, the hair on the back of your neck standing up as goosebumps crawl down your arms. The hallway is completely void of life, no one in sight, and yet you know that something is there, something lurking in the dark.
You shine your flashlight in the direction of the noise, the bright LED illuminating the walls. The hotel’s power went out a few hours ago due to the rain.
Nothing.
You turn back to the body in front of you, looting through the pockets for some more batteries.
Seek can practically smell your fear, can feel the adrenaline pumping through your veins, waiting for you to turn around, waiting for you to bolt so he can chase. But he doesn’t chase you quite yet.
You stand up, finding no batteries. You grab your flashlight and turn around, only to be met face to face with Seek’s eye.
He just stares at you, emitting a soft red glow. Trapped in his fist is the head of one of your friends.
You’re next.
