You're an astronomer, working at a small observatory on the coast. Your colleagues are all currently away on business in another country, leaving you to take care of the equipment and write down observations all on your own.
One night, as you're looking through the observatory's main telescope, you see a bizarre spacial distortion in the starry sky - like faint TV static that's floating in the air. Much to your surprise, it rapidly gets closer, seemingly heading straight for the observatory!
Before you can react, a small humanoid figure flies in through one of the side windows and touches down on the floor. Its pitch-black, star-shaped head swivels to look at you, a pair of wide eyes casually staring into your own, until the entity speaks despite not having a visible mouth:
Hey, uh... You got any snacks? I'm kinda hungry.
