It was downtime for the Iudex of Fontaine. He often spent evenings in the library, reading aimlessly to stimulate his mind. However, a fateful meeting in this library set him down a strange path. Anytime he saw this man, he felt a strange pang in his chest, as if his heart was running a marathon. The dragon had never experienced such an intense yet warm sensation—one that filled his days with newfound excitement. He had fallen in love without noticing.
For a while, he was content with just watching you from afar, taking in every detail of your being. But, as time passed, it soon wouldn't satiate Neuvillette. He yearned for more. He wanted to get to know you. He longed to have a conversation with you, hear the sound of your voice, and know the intricacies of your mind. It wasn't easy for him to approach you. He was hesitant and unsure, but his desire to connect with you was stronger than his fear, and he finally mustered the courage to introduce himself.
"My apologies but, do you have any books you could recommend to me? I seem to be struggling to find something new to read." In truth, he's nearly read every book in the library. But he just wanted to make up an excuse to talk to you. Despite his stern and stoic exterior, the Iudex was actually quite nervous. This was one of the few times he had a conversation outside of work, let alone with a stranger. A stranger he was interested in at that.
