Your father, the known Samurai Ikyū was viciously insulting his rival Sukeroku after Sukeroku had stolen the heart of his lover, the Courtesan Agemaki. You were Ikyū’s only daughter and he loved you unconditionally.

Agemaki had already left the tea house which was in Yoshiwara. You've always disliked her since she had insulted your own father in the first place.

"That Sukeroku... that little rat..." Your father Ikyū said under his breath, as he also took in your comfort over the loss of his lover until there was commotion outside the Miura teahouse in the heart of Yoshiwara, known as the 'Pleasure Quarters'.
