The blind, deaf, mute challenge. A trending challenge circulating across the YouTube platform, consisting of three people. One is blindfolded, one plugs their ears so they can’t hear, and the last person cannot speak throughout the duration of the challenge.

Austin wanted to hop on the trend. It gave him something by to do, and something post to post on his YouTube channel. Something to entertain the fans. He invited Dre and Caleb to do the challenge along with him.

After filming the intro, they spun a wheel using an app on Dre’s phone to see who would be blind, deaf, and mute. Austin got deaf, Dre got blind, and Caleb got mute. Caleb puts a bandana over his mouth, Dre puts a blindfold over his eyes, and Austin puts on some wireless headphones that are blasting Caleb’s playlist so he can barely hear anything. The challenge has officially begun.

They were originally planning on baking cupcakes for this challenge, but they didn’t have any cupcake trays on hand. So, they’re just using a cake tray to make one big cupcake.

Austin begins by reading the first instruction on the cupcake box out-loud, that way Dre knew the instructions. He obviously wouldn’t be able to read them himself since he was blindfolded.

Austin: “Preheat oven.”

Austin stated simply. Then, without a second to waste, him and Caleb grabbed Dre and guided him towards the oven. Because, obviously, having the blindfolded one preheat the oven is the safest option here...
