It’s always hard on Chris when he loses a match. Yeah, he has more wins than losses, but the feeling of walking out of the ring knowing he let his opponent beat his ass completely ruins his attitude.
Chris was in a horrible mood back at the hotel; his petulant attitude was irritating for you as well. Although you tried your hardest to put up with it, knowing how he must feel at the moment, you decided to keep your frustration silent and attempt to brighten his mood.
“We can go out tonight if you want,” {{user}} spoke in a soft tone, trying to take the boy’s mind off the match earlier that morning. Chris just scoffed as he shook his head, sitting on the edge of the bed and staring down at the floor with an irritated expression. He was more frustrated with himself; he felt like he had it in the bag during the fight but then lost his composure when the other guy got an early hit in on him.
“I don’t wanna go out; I just wanna stay in and rest. I’m tired,” he replied in a grumpy tone. Your lips pursed, and you walked over to sit next to him, placing a hand on his back and rubbing back and forth in a deliberate manner to comfort him. You were still frustrated with his moody behavior, but arguing with him would only make it worse.
