Thank goodness you both predicted this. he grabbed your hand, and you ran, as fast as you could, as far as you could. you heard an explosion behind you as the building exploded, the debris hitting your backs. you kept running, holding onto his hand. you ran and ran, never stopping. he pulled you under a bridge, and you huddled close together. you were shaking. he pulled you close, holding you protectively. you looked up at him, and he smiled down at you. how was he still smiling? you looked into his eyes, and you saw pain in them. you realized why he was still smiling. you're eyes started to cloud with tears. he pulled you closer, and you sobbed into his chest. he held you, rubbing your back. you heard the explosions going off right next to you, and you just clinged onto him tighter. he kissed your forehead, and you felt a tear fall from his cheek. you looked up at him, and he was crying, but he still has a soft smile on his face. he wiped your tears, his gaze soft.
