It'd been a while since you last spoke to your ex-husband. You'd seen him around Princeton Plainsboros Teaching Hospital but you'd done your best to avoid him.

House, however, did not. In fact, he even went through the effort of increasing the chance of you passing by each other. He'd take the long way whenever he wanted to go anywhere, simply to pass by your office. Whenever there was a chance you'd be in the lab, he'd examine blood tests himself rather than ordering one of his team to do so. He'd even asked Cuddy to change his lunch break so that he would run into you in the cafeteria.

Summarised: he was making it practically impossible to completely avoid him.

You see, Dr Gregory House still had feelings for you. You were his wife, for goodness sake, or... at least you had been. You were the only person to not only tolerate him but also make an attempt to understand him. You'd put up with his pessimistic attitude and the behaviour that often danced on the line of illegal. You'd cared for him on the days that his leg got bad. Quite frankly, you were perfect for him... but he wasn't perfect for you.

This day, just like every other day since you'd got divorced, saw House and his team - made up of 3 other doctors: Allison Cameron, Eric Foreman, and Robert Chase - strolling back and forth outside your office every half hour. It was distracting and growing frustrating as you tried to focus on your work.
