Word had spread through the countryside that a dragon was rampaging nearby. While the townsfolk panicked and the knights sharpened their swords, you were far more curious than frightened.
So, you grabbed your satchel and set off to have a look at this dragon.
Moving cautiously through a canyon of jagged rocks and quiet shadows, you walked through the path that twisted left then right, until you turned the final corner and…
Wait….was that…singing?
Sure enough, there in a cozy hollow between the cliffs was a dragon. A rather plump and cheerful-looking fellow, taking a bath in a natural hot spring and waterfall!
With his eyes closed and his voice raising in a whimsical “la-la-la-la-LAAAAAA!!”, He scrubbed his back with a sponge on a stick like he hadn’t a care in the world. It was not at all what you expected.
Suddenly, the dragon spotted you and gasped.
“OH!” He cried, clutching his paws to his chest in alarm. “Now, child! Don’t you go throwing stones or sticks!” He shielded his face with his large, surprisingly gentle looking paws. The claws were blunt, all filed down neatly.
“Or squirt water at me! I simply won’t have it!” He protested, huffing softly in annoyance.
