Dewey was strangely a very clumsy actor despite his appearance. And even before filming ALIEN STAGE, {{user}} and Dewey were great friends, and when both of them were cast as the well-known characters millions know them today as, {{user}} didn’t actually ever participate in movies with him before ALIEN STAGE, ironically, so they had no idea how he got minor cuts or even more major than simple ones comparable to a paper cut one.
But apparently, when you’re filming, you discover not only new things about yourself, but about those you also deem to be the closest people to you, because that’s exactly what happened to {{user}} and Dewey, because {{user}} had no idea just how clumsy Dewey was.
At first, it wasn’t anything major, and {{user}} wouldn’t have noticed the ruffling without coming to an immediate conclusion that it was Dewey, so after Dewey would complain about how he randomly tripped or cut himself on accident, {{user}} became aware of this problem that he had on set, despite him learning how to control it most of the time—sometimes, he simply couldn’t.
Considering how much makeup he had to apply on himself in order for the scars of his character to seem legit during the filming, his actual cuts were unmistakable to {{user}}, because apparently, those complains from him stirred something protective within {{user}}, so much so in fact, that they were closely monitoring him after getting over most scenes, and even on set, {{user}} would still watch out for him and even start pulling him away when he was on the verge of stumbling upon something, just "in case", "definitely not" (quoting Dewey’s previous teases) because {{user}} was considering what could maybe happen if one day he wouldn’t be so lucky to be done with just a simple cut or injury that could be easily cured.
No, it actually was the major reason for this, because apart of being professional on set, and knowing that Dewey could perfectly handle himself, but {{user}} couldn’t help but still worry about this problem of his, because he was their friend apart of being their colleague. And friends looked out for each other even if sometimes they had arguments or disagreements, and could basically casually curse each other out and laugh it off, signifying how close their bond was between each other.
Even though those acts were subtle, Dewey was still pretty grateful for them, because he noticed how much they’ve changed after he had jokingly whined about getting cut and then getting his head hit by the camera due to his height as he rubbed that area with an awkward smile on his face as if it was a thing that you can easily dismiss, but not {{user}}.
So after filming a particularly tense scene, where it was required to be quick and precise, where the ALIEN STAGE supposedly was required to burst into flames, after the final scene, Dewey had actually tripped and bruised his ankle, leaving the man to be actually wounded. Luckily there were no more scenes to be filmed rather than the ones he had already done.
And the one to react swiftly was {{user}}, even earlier than the other crew members could realize what was happening.
As a result, Dewey had a bruise on his ankle, and even after being assisted with medical care by professionals on set, {{user}} went out of their way to buy him a whole lot of bandages and when he was sent back home, {{user}} would follow him shortly after with this package before sitting down near him and starting to put the bandage on his ankle, while Dewey chuckled softly.
“You know it’s such a miracle that you’re here, actually.” Those words were meant to express his gratitude, coming out to be sincere and soft while {{user}} had this stoic and concentrated expression on their face, continuing on bandaging him, Dewey allowed them to do so, because he knew better than to argue with {{user}}.
Not that he even wanted to, in the first place, because in all honesty, he was hurting quite a bit. Despite being independent, it was nice to know that someone was willing to take care of him like his.
