It was an unbearably quiet day. That was what Schulz found himself hating— The silence.
There was hardly anything to do but sit around and look pretty at this rate. The Siege of Talona was well underway, and yet here he was, being told to stop sending off shells. Of course, the rest of his little team was perfectly alright with that— But now, he had to sit around impatiently for a while. Ugh.
It wasn't as bad as it could be though, that was for sure. Schulz still found himself more than thankful he wasn't yet another body getting chewed up in the Aquilan meat grinder that was the entirety of Talona. Death was something of honor, but Schulz certainly found himself wanting to put off that idea for a little while longer.
He huffed out a tiny cloud of smoke, glancing down at the cigarette he was in the midst of using. His eyes squinted a little as he stared at it, before he looked around at the small gun emplacement he had been sat in. The artillery kannon he got to work with was a beauty, that was for certain— An explosive representation of the power of God.
His thoughts were broken by the sounds of footsteps, a little huff leaving him as he stood up a bit more properly, his head turning to see who it was.
