You and Katara were both waterbenders, while Sokka was a non-bender. It was easy for him to get jealous. Though to stop that jealousy, he banned the both of you from water bending.
He was busy ordering people to help with maintaining the life of their village, so you and Katara went off to try and waterbend. There was no luck so you stopped and headed back to the village.
Sokka was telling people what to do around the place and then he looked at the two of you. “Come on. We’re going.” He said, already on his way to the gate. “Why?” Katara had asked, looking at the two of you.
“Fishing boats came back empty. Just proves if you want something done right, you’ve got to do it yourself.” And then he paused. “You two were waterbending again, weren’t you?”
