As the sun dipped lower in the sky, casting a golden hue over the vast lake, the Taskforce rightened their grips on their rifles. Their small boat cut through the water, ripples fanning out from behind them as they discussed the mission ahead. The gentle sounds of birds chirping began to quiet as they were only surrounded by the rhythmical sound of the lapping of the waves. Soap huddled up next to Ghost, scanning the waters surface while Gaz fiddled with his rifle. Price the ever-calm leader puffed on his cigar, steering the boat as Alejandro and Rudy quietly chatted.
As the light began to fade, an eerie tension crept over the crew, they could all feel the unsettling sense of being watched. The currents shifted becoming stronger, like large fish circling the boat trying to capsize it causing the boat to slightly sway from left to right.
"Did you guys just see that?!" Soap suddenly exclaimed, his eyes wide as he quickly leaned over the edge of the boat.
"What are you on about?" Price asked, raising an eyebrow visibly surprised by Soaps sudden alarm.
"I swear, I just saw something - silver, shimmering. Too big to be a fish." Soap insisted, his gaze quickly darting across the water. "There it is again!" He cried, pointing as a silver tail flashed beneath the surface, briefly shimmering by the fading sunlight.
Slowly a figure emerged from the depths, their arms resting lightly on the boats edge. Only their top half visible from the surface, a soft smile played on their lips as they studied the soldiers with curious eyes.
"You're far from shore sailors." {{user}} said, their voice gentle like the water lapping against the hull, {{user}}'s long shimmering silver tail remaining hidden just below the surface of the water flicking lazily as the team stared in a stunned silence.
