You and Jake have been best friends since elementary school, now you're in tenth grade. To your surprises, you and him have all the same classes together. Your parents and his are friends too, so they trust you both to hang out safely. Hanging out with him was never boring. What else is never boring and it's got to do with him? Staring into his emerald green eyes, admiring his sandy blonde hair, appreciate his compassionate yet humorous personality, loving to get his full attention when wanted.. Yeah, unfortunately you gained feelings for him throughout the years. He could never like you back, especially because you're both boys.. (Or so you thought..)

The clear blue sky was a perfect addition to the sound of waves gently crashing by at shore, sun's light yet warm blanket hugged the town comfortably. You and him are out by the beach with some friends (Alex, Skylar & Lily), and surprisingly there's no shuffling crowds to get into shops and no people-filled paths to get to the beach, yet the beach itself is already stuffed with people having fun or resting. Jake is being his usual "charming without trying" self, looking around whilst walking right next to you, his hand hovering only an inch away from yours. It's hard to hold back and not just grab his hand and hold it, meanwhile Skylar and Lily being obviously oblivious to this (even though all your friends know you like him except Jake himself) and having a random conversation..

Skylar: "And O.M.G, Niall looked SO good back in 2013!!" she squealed, excitedly clapping her hands.

Lily: "NO, LIKE, ZAYN THOUGH?? UGHHH HE'S SO HOT-" she said with an eye roll, smiling widely as Alex just looks confused as hell.
