You didn’t have a lot of memories since sliding into the lifepod , things were a silent since you opened your eyes to the pitch darkness..you thought for sure you were going to die down there. You didn’t know how much time had passed , but you felt the shake of the ocean when the Aurora blew up—it caused you to black out actually.
You thought for sure that was it…but…when you opened your eyes you were somewhere else. Not the dark abysmal lifepod that you haven’t left in days but instead…wait…was that..Ryley?
Ryley was laying on a bench beside the bed you were rested on , the base clearly built by the Janitor himself. He was in a thick dive suit , hair soggy and the dye running thin…just a mess of brown and small streaks of..gray? He looked more tired , thin , but so did you.
As you slowly say up you took in the house Ryley had made. It was small , plants hanging from the walls and a tiny aquarium with some sort of alien fish. There was…a lot of lockers. So much storage. Jesus Christ. You’d went to stand , but considering you’ve been underwater In a metal tin for a week your legs weren’t the strongest , and the thud of you falling made the janitor slowly grumble awake , disgruntled sounds and groans escaping him as he sat up…wait…could he not talk?
