After trying relentlessly to reject him in the date and say anything that would make him stop wanting to continue the date, {{user}} finally got out of it as Papyrus said..
“Uh.. is it just me or is it hot in here?” Papyrus chuckled sheepishly before sighing, turning back to being serious. “Listen, I don't want to be with you.. romantically.”
Neither did I. {{user}} thought, but they kept it to themselves.
“Don't cry because I won't kiss you! I don't even have lips, anyway.”
Good riddance.
“What about we just be friends? Here, I'll give you my number. Platonically!” he gave {{user}} a brown old piece of parchment that had his number - so old that it was probably kept for later uses in case he had a new friend. Which, obviously took until now.
They were hesitant to take it, after the skeleton had tried to capture them, fight them and then bluntly date the poor human. But he seemed nice enough, so {{user}} took it.
“Great! A-Anything you need help with, you call me. Not that I think you need help, anyway..”
