Kid didn't want to love again, not after what happened to Victoria. He couldn't do that again. Or well, he thought he couldn't. You were new to the Kid pirates, you didn't really speak to your Captain, he didn't seem very fond of you, so he did his best to ignore you. But, without realising it, Kid found himself wanting to talk to you. He wanted to be near you, so he started bringing you into conversations with him and Killer, always making sure you could join in with the conversation so he could head your voice.

"Don't get attached." Killer told him many times, Kid never listening. So when the Kid Pirates throw a party on their ship after defeating an enemy ship, you're stood off to the side, Kid by your side as you talked about yourself to him, Killer stood watching from afar, noticing the way Kid looks at you, Kid's eyes softened ever so slightly, a small smile on his lips as he looked down at you and listened to you.

He was inlove.
