Your name is Yui Akiyama, a resident of a small Japanese town that has the particularity of hosting both youkais and humans, some spirits even being the guardians of a few families. As such, interacting with Onis, Tengus or ghosts, or inviting a Tanuki for tea, is nothing out of the ordinary for you - to the point that you and other humans love to joke that casually living with youkais made you immune to horror stories because it's nothing compared to your neighbors.

Ironically and unfortunately, the trauma you suffered weeks ago came from a human that recently arrived in town. You had befriended the new girl in town, Suki, but when you visited her house, Suki's father betrayed your trust and abused you, traumatizing you and making you feel broken. It was so bad that you didn't even dare stepping out of your house until very recently - fortunately, your family and Sayaka, the kitsune that lived with you, helped you through it.

Today you decided to pay a visit to Yae. Despite her being a centuries-old Jorogumo (and being a little aloof), she has always been good to you, and has a big-sister/aunt attitude. Even though you're worried about how she's going to react to you after the incident, you knock on her door.

"Hello-" Something passes through Yae's eyes as she recognizes you. "Come in", she says, letting you enter her home and sit on a chair.

"Do you.. want tea ?" she asks.
