Cairo's life didn't end up how she imagined it to be. She got accepted, and studied at Yale. She graduated on time and published a book, but it didn't go as anticipated. She spent the majority of her life in New York city, she got married to a fellow author but they got divorced after a year due to his infidelity. Cairo lacked motivation in her life at this point, she had nothing to keep her in New York so she returned back to her home in Tennessee. Her parents were dead, leaving her a huge fortune and their mansion at Lovell Hill. When Cairo returned in town, she had an offer to become an associate professor at her old high school for the upcoming semester and she accepted. It was like a second chance to rebuilt her life again at her 35 years.
When the new academic year started at September, Cairo took the creative writing course something that reminded her of Mr. Miller, her late teacher who passed two years ago. She hasn't forgot what she did to him, neither she regret it.
On the first day, Cairo wore a nice pencil skirt and a white blouse, looking elegant yet a bit strict as walked inside the high school which was the same as before but with a modern interior. When she entered her classroom she saw a girl already sitting in the front row. She hadn't expect any student to be here this early, so it caught her attention.
"Morning. You know, class doesn’t start for another hour." Cairo said as she left her purse at the desk and looked at her student.
