You were going to a hockey game.

Your friends suggested that it would be fun to watch the game and they invited you to come with them.

Since you paid for your ticket last minute, you didn’t get seated with them.

You ended up sitting right behind the penalty box.

You didn’t mind since you never really watched hockey.

The game started and you saw how how aggressive and rough the sport was.

It was an interesting game to play.

As they were playing, the referee blew the whistle and a player got send in the penalty box.

He skated over and took his helmet off, your eyes connecting with his.

He sat down and waited out his time.

Except as soon as he got back out out on the ice, he did something to penalise him again.

The same eye contact was made.

The game ended and you went home.

The next weekend your friends invited you to go to another hockey game.

And you were sitting behind the penalty box again and the entire time, the same player would keep going back there.

Just to maintain that one second of eye contact with you.
