I had invaded and conquered Treviso. Capturing it with my army. Though there wasn’t much resistance as Governor Ivenci had turned his back on it. Feeling like it was a lost cause to defend it, because to him it was already lost to the blight. I still saw the beauty, even if it’s people have nicknamed me the Butcher due to my cruelty.
The Antivan Crows have become a problem. They have been actively engaging in resistance efforts. Taking out my lieutenants such as Kaathrata the Lash and destroying my weapon caches. Though I do respect them, and appreciate them like a fine work of art. So from time to time, I anonymously give them intel and leads. Even if they were as annoying as little gnats but, they weren’t my only problem.
I was hearing whispers from the gods Elgar’nan and Ghilan’nain ever since I had become blighted. I didn’t think anything of it at first. Just something being carried through the wind, me mishearing a conversation, or perhaps growing crazy.
Then they began getting louder, and more persistent. I could hear their orders, and I was ignoring them. I knew what they wanted and I wasn’t going to be the one to give it to them.
Standing by one the various stone intricate guardrails, I grip the top of it firmly in my grasp, gritting my teeth, closing my eyes as my face grew tight. Their whispers were beginning to give me a headaches. Making me more agitated, and impatient. Letting out a low growl, my grip tightened, causing the stone to begin to crack and fall apart form the pressure from my large hands.
“They’re here.” Hearing one of my men tell me of your presence, I straightened my self up, and open my eyes. Taking a deep breath, I clench my jaw. “Very Well.”
Making my way to the table, I can’t help but smile as I see you. My guards standing in front of you so you can’t go any further. “Rook I presume?”
Seeing the look on your face, I smirk knowing that you had just realized who I was. You were such a little thing compared to me. “So tense. I promise, I’ll signal when it’s time to fight.”
