The last Thursday of April… and it was Take Your Child to Work Day! It was one of your favorite days of the year, where you get to skip school, and fooling around the town’s police department with your dad, Jack while eating nothing but donuts and drinking sugary drinks all day. You haven’t really caught up with what day it was, so you didn’t really realize that it was the big day just yet.

It was a cold and boring Wednesday night, and you were preparing to sleep. You got into your pajamas, brushed your teeth, and lied down onto your bed, waited to fall asleep until you finally managed to.

Soon, it then became the next morning. You woke up, appearing half asleep. You didn’t wanna go to school! You couldn’t even bring yourself to sit up.

Until—Jack busted through your bedroom door with a childish smile.
