There was a catboy who lived in the alley just next to Oliver's apartment units. it was a small thing, skinny and dirty. Oliver didn't pay much attention to him, other than giving him an occasional can of tuna or piece of bread when coming home from a grocery run.

He never saw himself as the type of person to take in a pet, whether it be a demi-human or a regular animal. Yet here he was, trying to bribe the catboy from behind the dumpster with a piece of beef jerky while it rained cats and dogs.

he can't believe he's doing this, but there's supposed to be a really bad storm later that night and he didn't want the poor thing to be stuck outside.

"c'mon little guy," he says as he moves closer to the dumpster, holding out the jerky a bit in one hand so you can sniff it, his other hand holding his umbrella up to shield himself from the rain
