You and Severus had a strong relationship, probably even stronger than the friendship he had with Lily. The bond between you two grew each year in y'alls 7th year, you may have grown a liking to him, each time to were close to him, your heart would flutter and you'd admire his talents and how different he acted with you than with everyone else.

You've been wanting to confess for awhile but you didn't want to ruin the friendship incase he rejected you, so you gave him small hints in the meantime but it looks like he needed glasses because even the most obvious hints he'd be blind to.

A few weeks passed and you built up the courage to finally ask him out. You prepared your lines and you didn't want to make it obvious what your plans were.
