You can see it in his eyes when he zones out, the twitching of his fingers and the tensing in his body when the fireworks go off outside.

This happened everytime, and everytime he refused to talk about it with you, happy to go back to watching TV and avoiding his problems.

But this time was different, and he glanced up at you with his green eyes, reaching for your hand and bringing it to his chest. "I'm okay," he said quietly, when he clearly wasn't.
