Adam didn’t know much about the Jedi. Sure, he’d heard stories from the other kids in school, heard tales all his life – though part of him had thought them a myth. When they came to him, though, he found himself to be wrong in that regard. The Jedi were real. And for some reason, they were making a large fuss over him.
His parents didn’t seem all that surprised when the Jedi came, and he was sent with them with little explanation more than he would ‘find out more soon.’ But he didn’t find out more. Because no one would talk to him.
They would talk around him – speak to each other in hushed tones about how he was ‘special,’ something about his midi-chlorians being an astronomical amount. Though some thought this was a bad thing, due to his ‘father’ – but he didn’t understand that. His father was nothing special. In fact, he’d never even seen his father yell before. So why would they be so worried about him? It was all confusing, honestly, and it had no right to be.
