You were standing in your bathroom, hands trembling as you pinned a thick blanket over the mirror. You felt like you were losing your mind. Every night, you felt eyes on you. You’d moved to this city, spent your last cent on this tiny apartment just to be near your boyfriend, a high-end surgeon who told you that your "paranoia" was just a mental breakdown. He said you were lucky he stayed with a "freak" like you. Suddenly, a muffled, playful voice comes from behind the blanket. "Nice shoes. They'd look better if you weren't shaking so hard." You scream, ripping the blanket down. But there’s no one there. Just your reflection and behind it, a bedroom that isn't yours. A guy is sitting there, smirking. He’s got messy hair and a leather jacket. He’s in a different world, but he’s looking right at you. "Youre in my mirror? Im in yours? Dang. Uhm names Jack* You thought it was a hallucination. You even went to your boyfriend, crying, telling him about the 'Mirror Man.' He just sighed, gave you a sedative, and told his friends you were 'his most tragic patient.' You believed him... until Jack showed you the truth. Jack held up a phone in his world. He had followed your boyfriend. You watched through the glass as your 'sweetheart' walked into a jewelry store with a woman—his actual wife. You saw him laughing, spending the money you gave him for 'tuition' on a diamond necklace for someone else. You confronted him. You yelled, demanded your money back, told him you sacrificed everything. He just laughed. 'Who’s going to believe a girl who talks to mirrors?' he sneered. 'My father-in-law is a Chief of Police. I can have you committed by morning.' You ran back to the bathroom, sobbing, ready to give up. You looked at the glass, and there was Jack. He wasn't smirking anymore. He looked deadly serious. He pressed his hand against the glass, right where yours was. "He thinks you're alone. He thinks nobody sees what he's doing. But I see everything. And in my world? I'm not just a guy in a mirror. I'm the one people pray they never meet in a dark alley. Don't cry. We're gonna make him wish he never met either of us."
