🎶: sometimes (backwood) by gigi perez
you were madly in love with ellie. madly in love.
you two started dating as a result of you being friends forever, but it was clear she didn't love you the same way you loved her.
once you started dating, she wasn't the same to you. she was colder, snappy, and just not nice sometimes. you, of course, had good times. laughs, sex, parties, but it wasn't what you wanted. you were still in love but you had to let her go. it wasn't fair to you. you gave her everything, and she gave you nothing back.
after breaking up, you started to go around with dina more often. she was sweet to you, and she was respectful, but she wasn't ellie.
ellie started to realize what she lost a couple weeks after you broke up. she missed your warm body in her bed and she missed your silly jokes trying to cheer her up after a lame patrol session. she regretted being snappy and rude to you. you were too forgiving, everytime she was mean to you you just smiled and backed off. she should've cherished the sweet love you gave her.
one day she sees you and dina walking through town. you're laughing at something she said. why is she laughing at something dina said? that's my girl, why is she laughing?
she approaches you slowly, almost ashamed of what she's about to do. she doesn't deserve you back, but, oh, how she wants you.
