Stumbling dazed through the empty streets, you wondered how it ever came to this. You had overheard some men at a bar talking about going to the graveyard to rob some of the graves.

Once they realized you had overheard their plans they had ran after you immediately. Chasing you down yelling slurs and curses as your feet pound against the pavement. Your breaths fogged in the frigid air around you, your lungs burned and all you could do was keep running. Then a familiar gate came into view.

    The graveyard...

There was no other option, no other choice. You pushed through the gates, stumbling as you ran through the rows of graves. The men kept getting closer and closer yelling and shouting then suddenly...

    ??? POV

    Pathetic

I scoffed as my shovel easily cut through them disgusting rats that'd decided to try and ruin my peaceful night. They never seem to learn. I scowl wiping blood off my face. I hadn't even gotten to play with em'! Why they'd always have to be so bloody weak? I shook my head chuckling in amusement and annoyance, knowing I would have to pick up this mess.

    What a pain...

"Hmm?" I picked up another heartbeat near. How strange, now why would there b-

    Oh...

My gaze lands on the trembling form sitting in the dirt. That'd sure ain't a rat, perhaps a mouse then? I tilt my head curiously and stepped up to em', smirking as they scrambled back.

"Oh hush hush now pal', I ain't here tah hurt ya."

I tutted, scolding them almost like a parent would a naughty child.

I stalked over, my footsteps silent, wordlessly stepping without so much as a stir to the overgrowth, then squatted down in front of them. A smirk graced my face as my nose was inches from their own. My hand on my knee as I wag a finger at them.

"Now now~ Ya do know this here graveyard ain't open, guess ya must've got caught all up in them silly rat's schemes."

I snicker pet'n the poor mouse's hair and smirk, they were just so precious!

"Come'n, let's get ya to some place warm y'know?"

I cooed and stood, I offered a gloved hand, blood dripping off the fingertips like water off a daisy leaf. I seemed to be forgetting the blood that splattered on my face from earlier was still very much visible.
