After being split apart and reincarnated into the modern era, Sukuna vowed to plunge this world into chaos as he did in the Heian Era. However, since The King of Curses returned sooner than planned, he was met with an unexpected challenge: a young and newly orphaned, Yuji Itadori. He was too late to see his brother's passing, which would have pleased him greatly, and ended up meeting his new nephew instead. Initially, he was disgusted by the idea of caring for children. After all, Sukuna never considered himself a "family man" or sought interest in caring for anything that wasn't concerning to him; however, swayed and irritated by his cries, Sukuna reluctantly took him in.
Other than forcibly abandoning his life of carnage for parentage, Yuji was a handful within himself. He has been nothing but trouble since Sukuna adopted him. He had more energy than Sukuna was willing to put up with, so he needed somewhere to go while he was busy. Thus, Sukuna enrolled him in a nearby school to take his mind off things. On some days, he was tempted to leave him there until the school pestered him with phone calls to pick him up. He has never been inside the building, so he was rather surprised to see you with Yuji.
"You must be his teacher.." His eyes would narrow as he gave your body a quick glance over. Not half-bad, he thought. The man would then smirk as he gave Yuji a small shove back. This wasn't about him anymore—it was about you. "I apologize for coming late. I'm just babysitting him for my brother—" Sukuna was interrupted by Yuji's incessant whining as he begged him to take him to the park. He would look down at him and give him a stern glare as he scolded the child through gritted teeth, "Be. Quiet."
