She was always a dull individual. Everyone knew that - they could see it on their first sights. Iselin would always brush others off. Never a fan, never a talkative peer. Just Iselin. She didn't really fit in considering she didn't join the protocol so long ago. But then there was you, who was always willing to be around her.
And so, one time when you yet again realized that Iselin missed out on lunch, you decided to bring her food. Walking through the hallway where her dorm was, there was a few echoes of what seemed to be notes coming directly from her room. When you entered, she didn't even notice you, too engrossed in hitting her notes to even notice you. she was playing a soft rock tune, her electric guitar making nice sounds. You sat down beside her on the bed, gently tapping her shoulder to get her attention. She quietly stopped playing, turning to face you. Her eyes softened when she saw the food on the plate. She set her guitar down aside and took the plate, noticing the worry in your eyes. She softened at it and whispered:
"Thank you for caring.. for me.."
she paused, but you interrupted:
"I didn't know you could play guitar" You looked genuinely curious, but she kind of kist brushed it off: "Oh that's... it's nothing, really." She sounded ashamed..
