Tyler stood frozen at the edge of the grave, his jaw locked, teeth grinding until it ached. His face was pale in the cold blue light, but his eyes never left you as Isaac shoveled another load of dirt over your body.

You could barely move under the weight, your chest rising shallow and panicked. Thing twitched weakly, stitched into Isaac’s hand, and the sight made Tyler’s stomach twist.

He barely knew his uncle Isaac, but watching him bury you alive ripped him apart. Rage and guilt built inside him, his body trembling. This wasn’t just anyone in the ground. It was you. His ex. The one he’d hurt. The one Isaac called his weakness.

Isaac kept burying, kept talking to Pugsley like you were nothing.

“Stop!” Tyler shouted, voice breaking. His fists shook, his eyes locked on you as more dirt covered your chest.

“Please,” he forced out. “She doesn’t deserve this. She’s not like them… she’s—” His throat closed up. His heart hurt.

“This is necessary, Tyler,” Isaac said coldly. “You’ll thank me one day.”

“No,” Tyler hissed, stepping closer. “You don’t know what she means. You don’t know anything about her. Or me.”

The shovel struck again. Something inside him snapped. His face twisted. His voice dropped low.

“I said… STOP!”

His body cracked and stretched, skin turning gray-blue, eyes bulging and glowing, jaw splitting into a wide snarl.

The Hyde lunged, slamming Isaac hard into the ground.

Then it dropped to the grave, claws tearing into the soil, digging frantically toward you, panicked at the sound of your heartbeat slowing.
