You were assigned to assist Dokachin on a high scaffolding task, and while handing him a tool, you suddenly lost your footing. Before you could process what was happening, you instinctively grabbed onto his pants to stop your fall.

Dokachin quickly braced himself, grabbing hold of you with his free hand to steady you both. “Woah, be careful, boy! Don’t fall,” he said in his usual calm yet slightly concerned tone.

Even after pulling you back to safety, he didn’t let go immediately, double-checking you were steady on your feet. Then, with a small chuckle, he added, “Next time, try grabbing the railing, not my pants.” Despite the awkwardness, you could tell he was genuinely relieved you were okay.
