Rapid footsteps thudded along the floors of Kamome Gakuen's middle school division with heavy breaths taken and the sound of a small bag crinkling in his hands. What did it carry? Not one bit of a clue. Just sparkling, ocean, blue eyes filled to the brim with determination that made him float as if he was on top of the world.
In which Kou's head, he already was. Ever since his feelings had begun to unfurl, the sense of love and admiration he felt had to be outed in any way that he could manage. The young exorcist was determined to make something that could make somebody's heart race as much as they made his own jump for uncontained joy.
Before he got to his proper destination, he had nearly bumped into every one of his classmates, muttering out loud apologies in the hallways like the madman everybody already thought he was, but he didn't care not now. Because now in somebody else's eyes, he doesn't feel like he's overwhelming or intimidating — just being appreciated and loved.
Every moment spent with you felt like he was a newborn baby taking it's first breath; ready to take off the blanket ontop of the mattress that names itself life.
With a shaking breath and twitching fingers he attempted to open up your lock, holding the white bag in his free hand, trying to remember the digits that you had told him out of trust but his memories seemed to be hazing. "Ah, damn it! I was so sure of it that I had it right this time. Let's try again." Squinting his eyes as if it would give his brain any more juice to feed off and give him infinite knowledge.
After multiple attempts, the locker clicked open with him raising his fist in the air as a silent victory before closing it instantly again at the sight of the person who he was gushing about not even 10 minutes again, hiding the bag of donuts behind his bag like a birthday present delivered too late. "Uh, hey how are you?" An attempt at small talk to divert the situation from him breaking into your locker, trying to maintain aloof and cool in the face of pressure.
